Elder Ee
Elder Ee Chong Kang

Elder Ee Chong Kang was born in 1954 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He was baptised in 1971 in First Assembly of God Church, Kuala Lumpur, and has attended the same church ever since. He served as the President of this church for 14 years between 1982 – 1997. During this period, a new church building was built on the same site. Soon after, the concept of a 'One-Stop' church was introduced to address the challenges of a multi-racial and multi-lingual society, including starting both English and Mandarin services in addition to Cantonese services.

He has attended numerous evening Bible courses, Christian seminars and professional training. These include Christian Fundamental Belief, Understanding and Interpreting Bible, Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey, Discipleship Training, Church growth, Comparative Religions, Leading a Bible Study group, Church Management and Organization, World Missions, See Through the Scriptures, and the like.

Elder Ee taught Bible to teenagers for many years. He was the interim pastor of the English Language Service from 2005 – 2007. It was he, in discussions with Dr Michael Dalseno and Rev Irene Dalseno in 2006, and in association with the Church Board, that the idea of an independent College campus based at First AG Church was realized. This followed strong and generous resource and staff input from Logos International Leadership College, Australia, over a number of years, since 2001, under the leadership of Ps Tony Hallo. Through a number of incredible events, circumstances and local support, the College took on a new form in 2008 – 2009 when it morphed into a full electronically-enabled Internet-based College.

In 2008, a Myanmar service was started under Elder Ee’s supervision. He is currently a member of the Steering Team which charts the future direction of his church. He is particularly analytical and systematic in his thinking. His far sightedness, ability to dissect and simplify complicated issues, as well as providing simple solutions to address these issues, has seen him gain much respect and trust from his church.

Elder Ee also read for his Master of Science in Digital Systems in 1979 in UK. He has been in Information Technology since. He is specializing in fixing system and software problems created by other people and entities. He enjoys reading, especially in the areas of Leadership, History and Biblical Theology. He married Fang Kim Bea in 1987, and they have one girl, Sun-xin who loves to play Chess.
