THE FORWARD JOURNEY

ABOUT THE BOOK

This text will be of immense value to students, pastors, leaders, church members, instructors, tutors, librarians and Christian colleges who are searching for a sound, well-grounded, easy to follow, and practical commentary on the Historical Books of the Old Testament from Joshua to Esther. The text is very practically based, bringing “alive” many of the events and everyday life issues people face today. It is not a theological treatise, though it is based on sound theology. The Biblical contents contained in this set of 12 historical books offers a “treasure-trove” of solutions, answers, truths and principles in addressing life situations and events common to us all. The text is based on sound scholarship and hermeneutics, and uses the Old Testament narratives to wonderfully illustrate New Testament truth. For virtually every command, exhortation, warning and teaching in the New Testament, there is some Old Testament narrative that marvelously illustrates its practical application through the involvement of real people and what they did in their life circumstances. Hence, there is an abundance of New Testament scriptures referenced throughout in supporting these links. The text, in short, speaks in a very relevant, practical and compelling way to contemporary readers who have a desire for the Old Testament to be revealed to them in a simple, honest, practical and meaningful way.

I AM WHO I AM

ABOUT THE BOOK

The book will be of immense value to believers, students, instructors and colleges alike, which are searching for a sound, well-grounded, easy to follow, and practical study of the first five books of the Bible. It is “non-theological,” though its contents are based on sound Bible teaching and theology. A comprehensive Study Guide is included! (Solutions may be made available to authentic instructors/lecturers in other Colleges and universities). The text is essentially a chapter-by-chapter commentary from a contemporary life perspective. Through the many and colourful characters, events, narratives and episodes much can be learned about modern-day living, leadership, the life of the believer, and Church-life principles. The book represents a life-application walk through the first five books of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. In a sense, the book brings the first five books of the Bible “alive” to modern-day readers, and is relevant and highly practical to our times. The Pentateuch still continues to speak today and a lot of wisdom and practical teachings can be learned from their pages. This book attempts to “draw out” some of this wisdom and some of its practical teachings.

TREASURE YOUR WORTH

ABOUT THE BOOK

An inspiring text on sexual purity
This book will be of immense value to young people from High School age through to the early university or adult years. It is written, unashamedly, from a Christian point of view, and in an "easy-to-read," informal and contemporary style. It is flavoured with useful anecdotes, illustrations, and real-life stories. Appropriate scriptures are also woven throughout the book. Parents, teachers, pastors, youth leaders and friends may be particularly interested in purchasing this book for a teenager or young adult, especially if that young person is unlikely to buy one for themselves. Hence, it represents a good book "to give away." The book is intentionally designed to be not lengthy, however, there is sufficient in its contents to summarize the crucial personal and moral issues involved. It is "user-friendly" - un-condemning, yet frank about the truth on personal morality and sexuality. It may save many a young person from falling into "ditches of despair" that one call fall into, either through ignorance of the subject or through wilful neglect. It's not just a book of "dos and don'ts," but about helping and equipping a young person to be in command of their God-given pasisons; to rule them, not to be ruled by them. In short, the book is designed to empower the individual. It is uplifting, refreshing and instructive, as well as structured and organized in a way that makes it both easy to read and impacting in its message. It presents a compelling case for living in moral victory during a time when media, peers, schools and other negative influences are barraging precious young people, who have a God-ordained future and destiny before them, to "go soft" on personal standards and undermine their futures! To be fruitful, every person must take care of their own personal vineyard.
